Creativity means your imaginative ability. It is your ability to use your imagination to develop new things or ideas. Creativity can also be said to be your ability to create things in an imaginative way and the good thing is that creativity is embed in every human being including you. Once you are unable to use the creative power you possess, you will find it difficult to live your dreams.
Creativity is about vision and imagination. Vision is grasping or laying hold of divine insight into the dreams that you have for your life. Vision is of the heart. It is what you see when you stop looking. What do you see about yourself and future? As Helen Keller put it “there is nothing worse in this world than having eyes without seeing”. There is power in imagination. Thinking of new ideas is like bathing, if you do not do it every day, you will not look fresh. For every man, there is at least a gift deposited in him. You have got to identify your gifts which will enable you to live your dreams.
Creativity is all about originality. You should never try to copy another person. If you do, the best you can be is second best. You should not just be yourself but be your very best. Know for sure that you are the only one in the world who has your set of abilities. You are rare, unique and special! For you to examine your creativity you need to ask yourself some of these questions; how ingenious and enterprising are you? Are you full of initiative and good at problem-solving, especially in difficult situations? Remember the bigger the problem you can solve, the bigger the opportunities that awaits you and you will be on your way to live your dreams.
Creativity is also about innovation, revolution, modernization and improvement. Innovation is about new invention or way of doing things. Never be afraid to dream. Every great thing in our world today started with somebody’s dream. “we are told never to cross a bridge until we come to it; but this world is owned by men who have crossed bridges in their imagination far ahead of the crowd” .
